October 12th is World Arthritis Day!

Supported by many prominent organizations, including the European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR), World Arthritis Day raises awareness every October 12th about the existence and impact of rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases, including Rheumatoid Arthritis, one of the conditions addressed by the DocTIS project.

According to EULAR, rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases affect the lives of over 120 million people of all ages in Europe alone. World Arthritis Day is part of EULAR’s and many other associations’ efforts to promote scientific research and medical education.

World Arthritis Day 2024 highlights the importance of easy access to trustworthy information for people with these diseases. Given the vast amount of information available online, which can often be incorrect or misleading, the goal is to help people make better health decisions in collaboration with their doctors. Thus, the 2024 activities will feature the webinar “Informed Choices, Better Outcomes”, which will take place on October 8th from 14:00 to 15:00 CEST.
